Premium Direct-Farm Organic Maple Syrup

This Member's Mark product is already clean - it's pure organic maple syrup with no seed oils, artificial ingredients, or preservatives. The DIY approach here involves sourcing even higher quality, direct-from-farm organic maple syrup that may have better flavor and mineral content.

Based on: Organic Maple Syrup · Makes approximately 16 servings (from 16 oz bottle) · Serving: 2 tablespoons (30ml)

Why This Recipe is Seed Oil Free

Commercial Organic Maple Syrup from Member's Mark often contains inflammatory seed oils like canola, soybean, or sunflower oil. This homemade version replaces them with healthier fats like butter, ghee, coconut oil, or avocado oil — giving you the same great taste without the processed oils.

The original Organic Maple Syrup may also contain artificial dyes. Check it on DyeFreeCheck to find out.

Ingredients

Pure organic maple syrup
473ml (16 fl oz bottle) · Coombs Family Farms Organic Maple Syrup Grade A Dark Robust
Pure maple sap concentrate providing natural sweetness and minerals like manganese and zinc

Instructions

Step 1. This is a single-ingredient product that requires no preparation. Simply purchase high-quality organic maple syrup from a reputable farm source. Look for Grade A Dark Robust or Grade A Very Dark for the most complex flavor and highest mineral content.
Step 2. Store the bottle in a cool, dark place before opening. Once opened, refrigerate and use within one year. The syrup should flow freely and have a rich amber color with no crystallization or mold.
Step 3. Use exactly 2 tablespoons (30ml) per serving as indicated on the original product. This provides the same 110 calories and 26g natural sugars from the maple tree's concentrated sap.
Step 4. For best flavor, warm slightly before serving over pancakes, waffles, or oatmeal. The natural maple flavor should be robust and complex, not thin or artificial tasting.
Step 5. Unlike corn syrup-based pancake syrups, pure maple syrup contains antioxidants and minerals. Store opened bottles in the refrigerator where they will keep for 12+ months without quality loss.

Storage

Store unopened at room temperature. Refrigerate after opening. Shelf life: 2+ years unopened, 12+ months refrigerated after opening. No artificial preservatives needed due to high sugar content.
