Organic Strawberry Banana Electrolyte Drink

PRIME Strawberry Banana is a low-calorie electrolyte drink containing artificial sweeteners (sucralose, acesulfame potassium), synthetic vitamins, and vague 'natural flavors.' This DIY version uses real organic fruit, natural stevia, and coconut water for clean hydration without artificial additives.

Based on: Strawberry Banana · Makes approximately 30 servings (500ml each) · Serving: 500ml (1 bottle equivalent)

Why This Recipe is Seed Oil Free

Commercial Strawberry Banana from PRIME often contains inflammatory seed oils like canola, soybean, or sunflower oil. This homemade version replaces them with healthier fats like butter, ghee, coconut oil, or avocado oil — giving you the same great taste without the processed oils.

The original Strawberry Banana may also contain artificial dyes. Check it on DyeFreeCheck to find out.

Instructions

Step 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 60g (4 tablespoons) organic banana powder and 45g (3 tablespoons) organic strawberry powder. Whisk together thoroughly to break up any clumps - fruit powders tend to stick together and need aggressive whisking for 2-3 minutes to ensure even distribution throughout the batch.
Step 2. Heat 1 liter (4 cups) of the coconut water to barely warm (not hot - about 85°F) to help dissolve the fruit powders. Add the powder mixture and whisk vigorously for 3-4 minutes until completely dissolved. The slight warmth helps the powders integrate without cooking them, which would change the flavor profile.
Step 3. In a separate large container (at least 4-gallon capacity), combine the remaining 2 liters of coconut water with all 12 liters of filtered water. Add 15g (1 tablespoon) real sea salt and whisk until completely dissolved - this takes about 2 minutes of constant stirring to ensure no gritty texture remains.
Step 4. Add the dissolved fruit powder mixture to the main water blend and stir thoroughly. Add 60ml (4 tablespoons) organic lemon juice for natural preservation and flavor balance. Taste and adjust - the mixture should be lightly flavored since it will be diluted further when served.
Step 5. Add stevia extract gradually: start with 2 teaspoons for the entire batch, mix well, and taste. Add up to 1 additional teaspoon if needed. Remember that stevia is extremely potent - too much creates a bitter aftertaste. The goal is subtle sweetness that enhances the fruit flavors without dominating.
Step 6. Store the concentrate in glass containers (mason jars work well) in the refrigerator. To serve, mix 500ml of concentrate with ice in a bottle or glass. Shake or stir well before each use as natural ingredients will separate - this is normal and indicates no synthetic emulsifiers.
Step 7. For individual servings: Fill a 500ml bottle 2/3 full with the concentrate, add ice, and top with filtered water if desired for a lighter flavor. Always shake vigorously before drinking. The natural fruit powders will settle, which is expected with clean ingredients.
Step 8. Batch will stay fresh for 5-7 days refrigerated. Natural ingredients have shorter shelf life than commercial versions with preservatives, but the lemon juice helps extend freshness. Make smaller batches if you won't consume within a week.

Storage

Store concentrate in glass containers in refrigerator for 5-7 days maximum. Natural separation is normal - shake before use. No preservatives means shorter shelf life than commercial version.
